Dr. Demetrious Blackmon is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN).
Dr. Blackmon received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Alabama. This led to the completion of residency at the University of Tennessee in Internal Medicine. Dr. Blackmon continued his educational journey and training at Emory University, where he completed his Fellowship specializing in Nephrology and Hypertension. After completing his medical training in 2008, Dr. Blackmon remained in Atlanta and entered private practice providing Nephrology care and Interventional Nephrology services. During this time, he served as the Medical Director for multiple dialysis centers and performed thousands of interventional procedures.
With over 22 years of training, knowledge, experience and skill, Dr. Blackmon joined Preferred Vascular Group in 2024 providing services and medical directorship to PVG’s surgery center in Macon, GA.
