Dr. Denise Smith is a board-certified vascular surgeon and the medical director of Preferred Vascular Group’s Northeast center. She specializes in both open and minimally invasive vascular procedures for both veins and arteries. Her focus is on all aspects of dialysis access management, complex peripheral arterial and venous disease including wound care, uterine fibroid embolization,
vascular ultrasound interpretation and vascular access.
Dr. Smith attained her doctorate in medicine and completed vascular surgical training at the University of Cincinnati. She also has a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the University of Cincinnati researching ultrasound-assisted thrombolysis.
Dr. Smith grew up in a military family and is an Air Force veteran herself. She enjoys hiking and making electronic dance music.
