Dr. Maharshi Rajdev is a board-certified interventional radiologist and a nationally recognized leader in advanced endovascular therapies. As Medical Director of Akron Vascular Care, he brings an exceptional combination of academic excellence, specialized training, and clinical innovation to one of Ohio’s premier outpatient centers.
A pioneer in Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE), Dr. Rajdev was the first physician to perform the procedure in Northeast Ohio and has since completed more GAE cases than any other provider in the region. This minimally invasive treatment provides significant relief for patients with knee osteoarthritis, offering a surgery-free alternative in a field where few centers nationwide have the expertise to deliver it.
Dr. Rajdev’s journey in medicine began with a surgical internship at the Mayo Clinic, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Case Western Reserve University. He further honed his skills through a prestigious fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Virginia—consistently ranked among the top programs in the country. After serving as attending staff at the Cleveland Clinic, he transitioned to Akron Vascular Care, where he continues to advance cutting-edge, image-guided procedures.
