Patient Billing Disclosures

Preferred Vascular Group is committed to transparency in healthcare billing and to complying with all applicable federal and state requirements related to patient protections and cost disclosures.

The following notices are provided to inform patients of their rights under federal law.

Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills

Federal law provides important protections for patients receiving emergency care or certain services at in-network facilities.

These protections limit when patients may be billed for out-of-network services and prohibit “balance billing” in certain situations.

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges

Under federal law, patients who do not have health insurance or who are not using insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of medical items and services.

A Good Faith Estimate includes the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services, including related services such as medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and facility fees.

Patients may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges.
